DMCA Policy & Legal Disclaimer
Snappea respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This page outlines our operational model, technical limitations, and procedures for addressing copyright concerns.
1. Technical Operation & Service Nature
Snappea operates strictly as a search engine and technical intermediary. We do not host, store, or transmit any copyrighted audio or video files on our servers.
- Search Functionality: Our search results are generated in real-time using public YouTube Data APIs. We do not maintain an index of copyrighted content.
- Download Functionality: Audio conversions are facilitated through third-party iframe APIs. When a user requests a download, the process is handled externally. Snappea serves only as a user interface.
- Quality Limitation: Downloads are technically limited to 128kbps quality. This low-bitrate format is intended for personal "time-shifting" use and is not suitable for commercial distribution or archival quality.
2. Personal & Non-Commercial Use
The services provided by Snappea are strictly intended for personal, private, and non-commercial use only. Users agree not to use the service to distribute, sell, or broadcast downloaded content. By using this service, users certify that they are accessing content for which they have the right to do so (e.g., personal time-shifting) in accordance with their local laws.
3. No Hosting of Content
Snappea does not upload, host, or store any video or audio files. All content is hosted by third-party services (such as YouTube) and processed by external APIs. We have no control over the content available on these platforms. If content is removed from the source platform, it will automatically become unavailable on Snappea.
4. Copyright Infringement Notification
If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content linked to by Snappea infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing our Copyright Agent with the following information in writing:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., specific URLs).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Please note: Since Snappea does not host content, "takedown" requests usually involve blocking specific search terms or URLs from our search results, as we cannot remove the actual file from the internet.
